Welcome to the MultiVersus Rate Their Chances thread! In here, we discuss and debate potential candidates for Warner Bros.' platform fighter, MultiVersus. Each day, we rate a certain character or concept in terms of chance and want. We use a scale of 0%-100%. Just keep in mind that one person's interpretation of what a 25% chance (for example) means will differ from what another person thinks a 25% means. But don't overthink it, just go with your gut feeling and make a judgement based on your knowledge and research on the character. This is a forum game after all, so have fun!

A character must meet one of the following criteria to be nominated:

• They are owned by Warner Bros.
• They are co-owned by Warner Bros.
• Their franchise has had/will have a product created or distributed by Warner Bros. This includes the following:
  • Home video releases - WB Home Entertainment, Turner Classic Movies, etc.
  • Theatrical releases - WB Pictures, New Line Cinema, Castle Rock Entertainment, etc.
  • Comics - DC and MAD
  • Video Games - WB Interactive Entertainment, Monolith Productions, TT Games, NetherRealm Studios, Midway properties, etc.
  • Broadcast and streaming - Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, Toonami, Boomerang, TBS, TNT, TruTV, HBO/HBO Max, etc.
  • Online productions - Rooster Teeth and official websites for WB's networks.
• Characters who have made a significant appearance in a Warner Bros product, such as LeBron James. These characters are subject to approval.
• Characters who are owned by Discovery or have had a significant appearance in a Discovery product such as Guy Fieri (again, subject to approval).

In terms of concepts, I'm more lenient on them but they must be related to MultiVersus, Warner Bros or Discovery in some way.

By participating each day, you can earn nominations (noms) to use towards a character or concept you want to discuss. The goal is to obtain enough noms to push your idea into the top 14. At the end of each week the top 14 will be locked in, at that point nominations for those characters/concepts are null and void. Each day will last 3-4 days, depending on the amount of posts and conversations going on. As a rule of thumb I will typically end days if there aren't any new posts for 24 hours.

There are several ways to earn noms. The first way is to abstain. If you do not want to rate a character for any reason, you can write "Abstain" and you will still get 5 noms. Explaining why you abstained is appreciated, but not required. The next method is by writing 4 sentences per character, 2 sentences for chance, 2 for want. This will grant you 5 noms. Keep in mind that you need these 4 sentences, not just to get 5 noms,

However, you can abstain on one of the scores and still get 5 noms. So for example if you don't want to give a character a chance score but you want to gush about them and give them a want score, you can provide two sentences of reasoning for want and your

. In addition, you can earn 10 noms for giving a character 10 sentences of reasoning. It doesn't matter if you have more sentences explaining chance than want, or vice-versa as long as there are 10 sentences in total.

Update: Since we are doing double days now, everyone starts with 10 noms.

Keep in mind that you can also divide your noms among different characters and concepts. For instance, if you earn 5 noms you can use 3 towards Joker and 2 towards Concept: another Looney Tunes rep.

Here is an example of an adequate rating:

Superman
Chance: 95%
He is one of DC's flagship characters and one of the most iconic superheroes of all time. With how popular DC movies have become, I can see them getting at least a couple reps and Superman is a prime candidate.

Want: 100%
I grew up with Superman's comics and movies so I have an attachment to him. Plus he has plenty of powers and abilities to make for a cool moveset.

After each day, I will calculate and share the average for the character/concept's want and chance scores. We won't be doing much with these scores other than seeing if we end up being accurate or not in the long-term.

Now that the groundwork has been set, let's get into the rules.

1. Please follow the global rules, listed here.

2. Debates are allowed and encouraged! However, please be civil. A back and forth conversation is fine as long as it doesn't get out of hand. Any name calling, trolling or harassing will get you a warning.

3. After a character's day has ended, you are allowed a grace period of two hours to get your rating in. After that, discussing the character further will be considered off-topic.

4. Characters DO NOT need support threads to be nominated. But any character who does will have their support thread be linked in the post that starts their day. The purpose for this is to give people an easy way to do some research on a character before making a judgement on them.

5. If there is a tie in the top 14 when its locked down, we do triple days where we discuss three characters or concepts in the same day. These days will generally last longer.

6. In the event that there are too many abandoned ideas sitting at the bottom of the noms list, we'll do what's called a purge where the nominated characters and concepts below a certain nom threshold will be taken off the list. The exact threshold will vary with each purge. And don't worry, I will warn the thread way before the purge happens to allow adequate time for some ideas to be saved.

7. Any character or concept can be nominated an unlimited amount of times. However, you have to wait two weeks after their day has ended to re-nominate them. I encourage you all to only re-nominate characters or concepts if there is a drastic change in speculation that warrants a rerate.

8. You can edit your ratings anytime during the day. However, you are not allowed to edit your ratings after their respective day has ended. Doing so will render your scores and noms null and void. This is to prevent cheating. You can still edit your ratings during the one hour grace period, though.

Day 0

The goal of this day is to decide what the first top 7 will be. The assignment will be to vote for seven characters you want to talk about. The seven characters with the most amount of votes will become the first top 7. The next day, Day 1, will be the first rating and that's when you will be able to start earning noms. No noms will be awarded during today.

A reminder that you can vote for any character who is completely/partially owned by Warner Bros, or any characters that have made a significant appearance in a Warner Bros. comic book, TV show, movie, etc. Examples of I.Ps and media that Warner Bros owns includes, but is not limited to:
