What to do if Litter-Robot is stuck mid cycle? ›

From the Home position, to zero the weight scale, press the Reset button two times, the light bar should flash white. If your unit is stuck during a cycle, long press the Reset button for 3 seconds, to zero the weight scale. If successful, the unit should continue and complete the cycle.

If your Litter-Robot 3 is displaying a yellow light flashing slowly, this indicates a cycle has been interrupted either by the cat sensor or bonnet removal. Press the Reset button to resume the cycle. If your unit returned home and displays a solid blue light, you've been successful.

Check for obstructions

Make sure Litter-Robot is on a firm, level surface. The cat sensor function can be affected if the unit is on carpeting or a litter mat. Check that there are no power cords running underneath the base of the robot that might obstruct movement.

If your unit's light bar is flashing blue, this indicates that the waste drawer is full. Empty the waste drawer, press the Reset button, then press the Cycle button.

If the cat does not exit the robot, or if the cat sensor continues to detect weight for up to 30 minutes, the robot will display a flashing red light indicating a cat sensor fault. If the cat has exited but the robot continues to display a slow flashing red light, press the Reset button to continue the cycle.

Flashing quickly (about four times per second) means the anti-pinch safety feature detected a pinch condition. In this case, you will need to turn the Litter-Robot off and check the waste port in the base to remove any obstruction.

IMPORTANT: Any time you do anything that affects the weight or placement of the unit, including adding or removing litter, emptying the waste drawer, or moving or cleaning the unit, press the Reset button once you are done.

If your unit has a red light bar or the unit will not cycle, this indicates that the cat sensor has been triggered. You will also receive a notification on your phone if you use the Whisker app. The cycle delay countdown has been initiated so the unit will cycle once the time is up.

If your unit is stuck during a cycle, short press the Reset button to continue and complete the cycle. If your unit is still stuck and it is in an error state, long press the Reset button for 3 seconds to zero the weight scale. Turn Litter-Robot off and unplug the unit.

Why is my Litter-Robot stuck on a yellow light? ›

If your unit displays a yellow light bar, this indicates that the unit has been "paused". Pressing the Cycle or Reset button should get it to resume cycling. If it does not, please power the unit off and back on using the Power button.

Press and release the Reset button to reset the cat sensor. (Do this after emptying the waste drawer, adding litter, etc.) If already cycling, press Reset to pause; press again to cancel a cycle. Press and hold, while at the home position, to enter control panel lockout.

Once you notice that your cats have used the Litter-Robot, you can cycle the unit manually by turning the unit ON. If the cats are present, it will give them a chance to observe the motion and become familiar with the sound of the Litter- Robot while you are present to reassure them.
