Overview

Currencies are one of the main gameplay mechanics of Driving Empire. They are obtained or awarded by completing specific objectives around the game. Some currencies are used to purchase vehicles, customization items, or performance upgrades, but others are fixed and are used to track progress. Some currencies can also be obtained by redeeming a code.

Currencies

Here is a list of all the currencies in Driving Empire.

Main

Currencies (1)

These are the global currencies that operate within the game.

Cash

This is the main rewardable currency that is in the game. It is mostly used to invest into vehicles in the dealership and purchase appearance customizations or performance upgrades. It is also used to purchase crates to earn exclusive vehicles. On rare occasions, it is either used to pay off a bounty or to bail out of jail at the police station. Cash can be earned from just driving around, passing through speed traps, or by winning races. Players can also sell vehicles that they bought from the dealership (excluding event or limited vehicles) to earn cash back. Furthermore, any performance upgrades applied to the vehicle they are selling will be added to its base selling price. Players on the police team can also earn cash by arresting players with bounty. The amount of money earned by the player is determined by the bounty of a player who was arrested.

Currencies (2)

In the game's description, players can earn 15% more cash while driving by joining the Empire Games group, while VIP gamepass owners can earn 50% more cash while driving. Players can also take advantage of the 2X cash events to earn double the amount of cash for driving and racing.

Players can also purchase cash in the shop, which can be opened by clicking on the yellow shop icon.

$50,000Currencies (5) 200
$100,000Currencies (6) 350
$250,000Currencies (7) 800
$1,000,000Currencies (8) 2,450
Miles

This is the game's second rewarding currency. However, unlike any of the currencies listed here, it is used to measure progress in the game. This can only be earned by just driving around the map. They will receive one mile after traveling a certain distance around the map. Earning miles can be used to help players obtain any of the badges with the specific number of miles and eventually put them on the leaderboard near the dealership.

Bounty

This is the third rewarding currency in the game. It can be earned in many ways. The first method is by going through speed traps depending on the player's speed or by driving on the wrong side of the road, which will reward the player 15 bounty. The second method is by eliminating fellow players on the Criminal or Police Team. Do note that the citizens are the only team that cannot be harmed. In public servers, a non-kill shot will result 50 bounty each. So in total, it's 250 per full kill. Previously, bounty in VIP servers would reward double the bounty than live game servers. It should be noted that players on the Police Team are the only team that cannot obtain bounty in this game.

Players should also note that the increasing bounty gains no monetary incentive for their bounty. However, Police officers, may arrest someone, regardless of their team, to claim their bounty. Depending on the amount of the bounty, the amount of time the person will spend in jail varies. The current ratio for bounty to cash is 1:10 (1 bounty equals 10 cash).

Event

In pretty much every seasonal event, they had their own individual currencies, which could only be spent on vehicles or customization items featured in them.

Halloween Event

In the Halloween 2020 and 2021 events, they both used the Pumpkins currency. Pumpkins would be earned by them falling from the sky or purchasing in the shop. The types of pumpkins that fell from the sky gave the player a different amount. However, in the Halloween 2021 Event, it introduced another method where players could also complete challenges for extra Pumpkins. The pumpkins were also organized into their own different colors, which would reward the player with their own fixed amounts.

For the Halloween 2022 Event, the system was pretty similar to previous Halloween events, except instead of pumpkins, candy would fall from the sky. The candy was also organized into separate tiers with their own fixed amounts.

Winter Event

Both the Winter 2020 and 2022 events' currencies were not that different in terms of their attainability. The only thing that sets these two apart is the name used for both winter event currencies. For the Winter 2020 event, the event currency was named "gifts", while for the Winter 2022 event, it was named "presents". Both events used the exact same method for obtaining presents: using a pickup pad and delivering them to a specific location. The number of presents the player receives is based on the distance they have to travel to deliver them.

Trivia

  • The first Black Friday sale was released from the 25th to the 28th of November 2022, which only featured a deal on in-game cash that players could purchase with Robux.
  • The first 2X cash event for Driving Empire was released on Feburary 5, 2022.
  • In both Halloween and Winter 2022 events, they were the first to feature 2X event currency boosts that lasted around 5 minutes.
    • Furthermore, the Winter 2022 event was the only event to feature a double event currency boost gamepass, which could be stacked with the 5 minute 2X boost.
  • When an event departs, all the event currency the player has obtained will be converted into in-game cash. However, the conversion rates for these vary.
  • There was a bug where the player on the Police Team can shoot another Police officer to obtain an unlimited number of bounty.
