First Presbyterian Church

On Sunday, July 21, at 10:45 a.m., the congregation of First Presbyterian Church of Duncan will receive a message from The Rev. Mark Henslee titled “God Reconciles and Makes Peace.” Scripture for this sermon is Ephesians 2:11-22.The Rev. Henslee writes: “In this chapter of this letter Paul explains what God accomplished in the finished work of Christ on the cross and what the outcome means for a broken, fearful world.By grace we have been saved:peace between God and human beings, made in His blood on the cross, what was broken is brought back into ‘oneness’ under Christ.All of us members of God’s family are joined in connection with the Lord into a ‘temple’ of God’s living, holy presence.”

Duncan New Beginning Methodist Church

Duncan New Beginning Methodist Church members are continuing their “Journey through the Bible.” To join, come by the church office to pick up a copy of the calendar.

This Sunday, Pastor Lisa will bring the message, "Restoration.”The scripture will be Isaiah 43:1-7. Come join us for this exciting adventure through the Bible.

We have been working hard to ensure our Vacation Bible School will be amazing. Please get your child enrolled as soon as possible. You can sign up for VBS on our web page.

Wednesday - Choir practice at 6 p.m., music room.

“Circle of Hope” Women’s group meets the third Thursday of each month in Fellowship Hall at noon. They enjoy lunch, fellowship and programs are presented about needs in our community.

Missions in Action have installed a Blessing Box filled with non-perishable food items and a library. The Blessing Box is located on the east side of the parking lot on Elm Ave. We also have a clothes closet for foster children.

Come join on Sunday at 9 a.m. for Sunday School and 10 a.m. to hear Pastor Lisa’s message.

Duncan First United Methodist Church

The Rev. Mark Jardine continues the summer sermon series, “The Dance” with a sermon based on 2 Samuel 7:1-14 and Mark 6:30-34, 53-56 titled, “The Divine ‘No.’”

Both the bell and chancel choirs will be on break through July but will resume in August. Call our music director Veronica Hodgson at 580-255-3353 to join us.

The Builders Class will continue studying Genesis in the Explore the Bible Curriculum through the summer. Wesleyan class is continuing "Wrestling with Doubt, Finding Faith" by Adam Hamilton.

The children’s class is geared toward kindergarten-third grade and has lessons that follow the lectionary each week.

All classes begin at 9 a.m. and church service is at 10 a.m.

Faith Church

Sunday, July 21 Faith Church will have two services, 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. There is a nursery and children’s church every Sunday during both service times.

Small Groups will start back up in the Fall — around September.

Faith is accepting students for the Mother's day out program, Tuesdays-Thursdays at 9 a.m. Drop off can begin at 8:45 a.m. Pick up is at 2 p.m.

Bethel Church

Join us for Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. Sunday school is vital to growing a relationship with God and learning His Word. There are classes for all ages from toddlers to senior adults. Morning worship service begins at 10:30 a.m. If you are unable to attend, join us via live stream on Bethel Church Facebook page. Kid City (kindergarten through fifth graders) and Tiny Town (for three- and four-year-olds) have their worship service in the children’s building during morning worship.

Connect Groups will be Sunday at 6 p.m. in various locations on the church campus for all ages. We have groups for men, women, men and women, Connect Kids and Ignite Youth.

Monday, July 15, The Journey Adults will meet in the youth building at 6 p.m. This is a time of fellowship, sharing and growing in the Lord. Parents, note that you need to find your own childcare.

THE BRIDGE Coffee Shop for young adults opens its doors at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays in the Welcome Center (west side of main building). This is a place for young adults to meet, build friendships, learn, and grow their personal lives and relationships from the Word of God, all over a cup of coffee.

Starting at 7 p.m., Wednesday evening, we have classes/service for everyone. Activities include Rainbows for preschoolers; Royal Rangers and Mpact Girls for children in K-5th grade; Ignite Youth for middle school and high school students; and Deeper Night for the adults in the fellowship hall.

The ladies will be having lunch in the fellowship hall, Thursday, July 25, at 11:30 a.m. They will remain in the fellowship hall for their Bible study.

Liberty Baptist Church

Friday evening at 6:30 p.m., there will be a Family Game Night in the Fellowship Hall. Members are encouraged to bring their favorite board game and plan for a good time of fellowship.

Sunday morning devotion will be held at 9:30 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Larry Adams, Sunday School Director, will bring the devotion. Sunday School Classes are available for all age groups. Divine Graham will lead the Elementary children in their study.

At 10:45 a.m., Morning Worship Service will include special music by Jim Allen. Jason McCullough, pastor, will bring the message from Mark 5:21-34. The quarterly business meeting will be held following the morning service.

Following the business meeting, we will celebrate 30+1 Sunday School attendance with a chicken dinner fellowship. The church will provide the chicken. Members are asked to bring side dishes and/or desserts to accompany the chicken.

Liberty Baptist Church is located between old and new Highway 81 on Fuller Road. Everyone is welcome.

First Baptist Church, Comanche

Pastor Mark Hall will continue “A Walk through the Book of John” during the 10:45 a.m. worship service following Sunday School for all ages at 9:45 a.m. A potluck lunch, including the Lord’s Supper, will take place following the morning service.

Wednesday night activities begin at 6 p.m. with prayer and Bible study for adults, Bible study for youth and Bible Drills and Skills for children.

West Side Christian Church

"Where's the Shepherd?" is the title the Rev. Ron Motley has chosen for his sermon at West Side Christian Church on Sunday. His Scripture text will be verses 30-34 and 53-56 of the sixth chapter of Mark. Here we read that Jesus and His disciples were met by a large crowd when they went away to a solitary place, and that Jesus healed all the people who touched the edge of His cloak. The pastor's offering of music will be "Lord, I Need You." Sunday school will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by the 10:40 a.m. worship service in the sanctuary.

The Bible study group will watch "The Chosen" at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

All are welcome to join us as we read and study God's Word and try to find ways to apply it to our everyday lives.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Church

The Scriptures for Sunday, July 21, the ninth Sunday after Pentecost, are Jeremiah 23:1-6; Ephesians 2:11-22 and Mark 6:30-44.Our Lord preaches peace to all, both those "far off" and those "near,” Ephesians 2:13, 17. Though we were "separated from Christ" by our sins, "having no hope and without God in the world,” Ephesians 2:12, now we "are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God,” Ephesians 2:19. We are "One in Christ."

The Lutheran Hour radio broadcastis every Sunday at 9 a.m. on KLAW 101 FM.

Al Anon meets every Monday and Wednesday at 7 p.m.

A nursery for youngsters is provided with Bible stories and crafts.Small catechism instructionis also provided for young adults and seekers.
